Spots: Midtown Manhattan — Midtown East

Spot: The IBM ledge is a smooth metal ledge that is around twelve feet in length, and two feet in height. It rests on top of a smooth, wide marble sidewalk. There are other sides to the ledge, but the most commonly skated on is the one parallel to 56th Street because it has the best set-up in terms of overall runway. There are ends on all sides but the backside for regular / frontside for goofy approach is the best set-up if you are trying to grind the entire ledge. Otherwise, you may have to start from the street to gather up speed.
Bust — ♦♦♦ / Half-and-half: The building closes down after 10 P.M., so usually, you can skate all you want after then. Although you still have a slight chance of getting kicked out even after 10 P.M. Don’t even bother going here before then.
Location: 56th Street and Madison Avenue. Take the N, R or W to 59th Street-5th Avenue, and skate east for one block until you hit Madison. Make a right on Madison Avenue and skate south for three blocks. The spot is on the northwest corner.
