Spots: Downtown Manhattan — Tribeca & West Village

Spot: In a neighborhood full of cutty spots, this is one of the more note-worthy obstacles throughout the area. Alongside a fairly wide sidewalk are two, metal-edged windowsill ledges: one being around a foot and a half in height, and seven feet long and the other being just as long, only a foot extra in terms of height. They’re spaced about thirty feet from each other, on a decent surface which may not be the best for flatground, but certainly still skateable. The lower ledge grinds and slides better considering the fact that it is skated more often, but you shouldn’t have any problems waxing up the higher with a quick coat. Stop by the UPS building a few blocks away for a pretty good manual pad as well.
Bust — ♦ / Rare: You should not get kicked out of here.
Location: Clarkson Street, between Washington Street and the Westside Highway. Take the 1 train to Houston Street and skate west on West Houston until you hit Washington Street. Make a right on Washington and skate north for one block until you hit Clarkson. Make a left on Clarkson and the spot is in the middle of the block, on the southern side.
