But Make It Fashion

Ok, let’s try this again: The Quartersnacks Nike SB Dunk Low Pro will be available at skateshops in the U.S., Canada + Europe on this Saturday, September 18. We will not be selling them on our webstore. Some other territories have already began selling them. We will be giving some pairs away on QS social channels — stay tuned. We will have a small round of new mainline QS items going live in our webstore at 11 A.M. E.S.T. on this Friday, September 17. (That stuff is also available through a select batch of U.S. shops.)

In the meantime, shorts + some other summer stuff is on sale in the webstore, so stock up for your warm winter getaway ;) thanks everyone for the support.

There’s no way you haven’t seen the Dime x Vans video yet, right? Hugo Balek = Jake Johnson. Ben Blundell… 🎶 That Ben is a real crowd pleaser 🎶

~*Keep video blogz w3ird*~ The fifth installment of Josh Paynter’s Monday Links-fave video blog series continues to focus on the weird spots in this city (+ Soho curbs obvs.) Shout out to everybody not skating the same shit as the rest of us — it’s a lot of work.

Certified Skater Boy

“Smith knows that what becomes of Mosquito Beach is likely out of his hands. But that doesn’t dampen his impulse to keep building these spaces.” New York magazine’s Curbed publication profiled Pat Smith, Jerry Mraz, and the D.I.Y. skatepark scene in New York City, with Mosquito Beach as the focal point. (Apparently, a “sewage bomb” was unleashed on Newtown Creek following the storm last Wednesday, so it should be an interesting situation over there for a bit…)

“The era in which TD, Seagram, and similar plazas were constructed can be considered a ‘goldilocks’ moment in modern history, where the design of successful public spaces did not preclude the eventuality of skateboarding.” Michael Barker chronicles the simultaneously monumental and accidental influence of Mies van der Rohe in modern skateboarding for Village Psychic.

Wumbus Video” is an eight-minute video from Tom Albin, who brought you the Public Skateboarding full-length from late last year. Kickflip back smith on the curb to Billy Joel ender was fire :)

Stephen Ostrowski is pro for Glue! And has a new part! Always get so shook watching people skate that yellow wall rail thing at Long Island University because of how close your head is to the barbed wire. Fully yelled at the screen when Stephen ducked under it. Also includes a beast varial heel courtesy of Cooper and his shenanigans ♥ (P.S. The Ether section at Three Up Three Down is still office-favorite viewing.)

The Wolf of Prince Street

Cyrus really elevated the bar on tricks that utilize the re-built fountain ground at Flushing in his new HUF commercial. Wow.

Enjoyed this quick Jasper Stieve part from Venture and NJ Skateshop. (You should rewatch his Sportsmanshit section, btw.)

Lots of interviews this week…

“[The spot has] got to have some element that makes it weathered, so not everybody wants to skate it. But the people who do want to skate it really want to skate it.” John Gardner’s discusses presidential aspirations with Fred Gall as his V.P. in his interview from the June issue of Thrasher, which is now online.

Like Whoa

Send Za” is the latest New York edit from videographer Eryk Burton. Ender nollie heel at the new spot everyone’s been getting yelled at is wild.

“I always liked no complies, even when they weren’t cool.” Love these — “Watching Jerry Fowler with Jerry Fowler” is the latest in Village Psychic’s “Watching” series, and it’s about his Continuum part. Glad that he likes it, because it rules ♥ Doing one of these with Jahmal about his section would be just as rad :)

The union bosses at Hit You Off Management re-saturated and remixed some of Dick Rizzo’s Grand Prairie clips.
