Mashed Potatoes

Nik Stain by Paul Coots, who has a couple shots from John’s Vid over on his Instagram.

Patrick Kikongo, creator of The Black List, has a public service announcement to keep in mind while you’re doing any skate-related holiday shopping.

“I think you’re the first person to actually own up to drunk claims in one of these interviews.” Joey Pepper talks drunk claims and everything in-between for his new Chromeball interview.

Really know nothing about this edit, but enjoyed it a lot — maybe because editing a pandemic-era skate video to “World Hold On” is funny and perfect. “TFTI” is a fourteen-minute homie edit by Reilly Schlitt that looks like it was largely filmed during lockdown days, as all the Stroud, etc. footy is from when none of the courts had hoops. If you don’t have that whistle stuck in your head after hearing that song…idk, one day you will have to answer to the children of the sky ;)

Nice To Meet You, I’m A Artist — ‘John’s Vid’ by Johnny Wilson

It is hard to believe that it has been ~six years since the last full-length Johnny Wilson video. Horny got uploaded to Vimeo in January 2015 (Edit: Sure got uploaded to Vimeo six months later, though is now MIA.), and Johnny’s bi-weekly video blogs (a fixture of the skateboard internet during the first-half of the 2010s) ceased production. The Horny Sure alumni embarked on various solo projects, love interests, and professional skateboard careers — only to reunite today, on YouTube.

To Russia With Hjalte & Nik — ‘Firesides’ by Ben Chadourne

The crew from 2018’s eastern European road trip video, “Glory Push,” is back — this time going further east into earth’s largest country.

Like Jacob Harris before him, Ben Chadourne also brought along Nik Stain to chase around in circles through marble remnants of the Soviet Union. Unlike the Atlantic Drift auteur, Ben shot his video on a camera that did not cease production in the same decade that the Soviet Union ceased to exist ;)

Fireworks

Tompkins is back, Nik Stain is pro. Happy summer. Photo via Caleb.

“Ahh the banks at the Jamaican embassy… Iconic spot, great spot, fun spot. Quick bust of a spot though… so the fact that you guys have a little group with a campfire going…”

Someone made a twenty-minute super cut of Tyshawn footage.

“I will do anything for skateboarding. This episode can save lives, it creates communities. It’s the closest thing to music, and the coolest thing about music is that there’s no place on earth where it doesn’t exist.” Skateism has an interview with Buddy and Rick about making the LGBTQ+ episode of Love Letters to Skateboarding. There is also a supplementary “Love Note” with Cher Strauberry and Barker Barrett about how to be a better ally.

Units in the City

Summer 2020 QS stuff should be available at most, if not all, U.S. accounts now. Still arriving in Canada + Australia. Japan + Korea been had it. Arriving in Europe early June. Thank you to everyone who grabbed something from the webstore. We’ll be shipping all week, and yes, you will get a shipping confirmation + tracking when your order goes out. There’s still a good bit on there, though a lot of the tees are down to smalls and mediums. So funny how 3-4 years ago, it was XLs that were leftover, but now everyone seems to have sized up. Spread via Orchard.

The city is just installing randomass street hips for us to have fun on now?
