Was wrong about the Muska Epicly Later’d airing last week, but it’s definitely airing this week, and the Tom Cruise coke movie is sick.

Free has a new part from 2013 Q.S.S.O.T.Y, Leo Gutman. The guy’s eye for spots remains unparalleled after all these years.

The Parks Department sessions Central Park for All City Showdown. Comedy aside, there’s something admirable about filming an entire montage in a place well known for having next to nothing to skate. There are those three sets of three on a hill at the south entrance of the reservoir that would actually look great on film though…

Muckmouth’s rant on ETN — essentially Pay-Per-View for skating — is one of the funnier pieces of skateboard writing in recent memory, but the most quotable lines are a bit too risqué for the #SFW environment of a Monday QS post :)

The Tennyson Corp just keeps reelin’ in the hits. The latest is a mix of J.B. and Caesar Singh’s 411 footage. Is the fact that J.B. is European the only reason why he’s often forgotten on First Team Prodigious Nineties Street Skaters lists? Yes? Though so.

Kalis is one of the rare pros whose interviews always feel different and new, even though he’s covered the same tried and true subjects before. He’s got two out this week, both on the occasion of his first trip to London…one with Kingpin about a vindictive $117,000 tax bill from the city of Philadelphia, and another with Slam City Skates with some good bits about the homogenization of 360 flips.

Chima was a bit more unhinged than a lot of guests on the season finale of The Bunt. Requests for next season: Kalis (duh), Zered, Forrest, Jake, Smolik, Muska.

QS Sports Desk Play of the Week: Kristaps’ block in a game that resulted in the first Nets home win in sixteen games. Yeah, I just had this one on in the background last night. No, I didn’t watch it for more than 15 seconds at a time.

The 2003 magazine is now available. It includes a Quartersnacks feature with Zered Basset about the Vicious Cycle house, which was blocks from Ground Zero in the years after 9/11, and what it was like living/skating down there. “Yeet” is the new mini vid from Blue Couch. Features a pretty wide swath of spots around the city, a ton of night footage, and some #very #interesting line choreography at the park on 27th and 2nd Avenue. Creature dropped an official “Welcome to the Team” part for Jon Gardner, which features a whole bunch of his best moments from Bruns 2 — or at least a handful of the most shout-at-the-screen inducing ones. You should still buy Bruns 2 though. Shout out to that phase Marquez went through in 2008 when he tried to film a Creature sponsor-me tape and would drive out to Sayerville 4x a week :)

‘Stay Young’ — A New Leo Gutman Part!

Remember that scene in Men in Black where Tommy Lee and Big Willie are chilling on a bench in Battery Park, and he’s explaining what we once “knew” of the universe? “1500 years ago, people knew that the earth was the center of the universe. 500 years ago, people knew that the earth was flat…”

Fifteen minutes ago, we were living with absolute certainty that lines on our beloved Three Up Three Down maxed out at three tricks. Dear God were we wrong.

“Stay Young” is the new part from 2013 Q.S.S.O.T.Y. Leo Gutman for Labor Skateshop. Between an impeccable seldom-seen-in-other-New York-vids spot selection (seriously, who the f thinks to skate this thing), the best trick thus far on that full pipe-ish sculpture at Union Square, and some seasonably appropriate gloves footage, is perhaps the biggest development in Three Up Three Down’s six-year existence. Three stairs up one side, three stairs down the other, three tricks [once thought] possible in consecutive order — the spot was once an O.C.D. victim’s dream. Until now, since Leo Gutman altered our perceptions of time and space by stuffing two flatground tricks between the two sets of three.

Four, FOUR tricks at THREE Up THREE Down!
