Queens Courthouse

Spots: Queens — Corona, Elmhurst & Rego Park

Spot: The courthouse is overloaded with a myriad of ledges. The most unique aspect of the spot would have to be one long gradual ledge that slowly slopes down consecutive sets of three stairs. It is about a foot-and-a-half high at most points when you would get on, and only skateable backside for regular / frontside for goofy. The eastern portion of the spot has a similar structure but for the opposite stance, only differentiated by the fact that each individual ledge has an end. The sidewalk has one long strip of ledges that are in similar height and breaks into step-up ledge-type obstacles at random points throughout the street.

Bust — ♦♦♦ / Half-and-half: You can only skate here at night, and even then, certain portions of the spot are sealed off with barricades, so by moving them, you draw more attention to yourself and run the risk of getting kicked out.

Location: 82nd Avenue and Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens. Take the E or F to Union Turnpike–Kew Gardens, and skate east on Queens Boulevard for three blocks. The spot will be on your left side.
