Spots: New Jersey — Jersey City
Spot: The ground here tends to prevent this from being a great spot, but it is still workable, although a bit annoying at times. Here there are a bunch of knee-high marble benches that could be skated from both sides, or on the top as manual pads. There is also an almost three-foot high flatbar to drop that could be used to do tricks over. Towards the northernmost end of the building is a perfect marble six stair with ideal runway and landing space.
Bust — ♦♦♦ / Half-and-half: Usually, you can skate here, but if you get kicked out, it usually takes about a half hour before someone complains and gets the security guards out to tell you to leave.
Location: Pavonia Avenue and Washington Boulevard in Downtown Jersey City. If you’re coming from Uptown or Queens, take the B, D, F, V, N, Q, R or W to 34th Street — Herald Square and transfer to a Journal Square bound PATH train, and take it to Pavonia-Newport (first stop in New Jersey, less than a ten minute ride from Manhattan.) If you’re coming from Downtown or Brooklyn, take the A, C, E, 2, or 3 to World Trade Center and take a Newark or Hoboken bound PATH train to Pavonia-Newport. The spot is right outside of the station, across Washington Boulevard.
