Spots: New Jersey — Assorted Hudson County
Spot: In the center of this park, near the ole’ Hoboken degenerate underage drinking spot on the promenade, you will find a five, a four, a three and a six, in addition to an oversized three-stair that is exactly equivalent to the six-stair. This spot is set up so that you could do a trick down the six and then down the four, or a trick up the two and down the five or four. The ground here is very smooth brick and all the steps are free of cracks at both the bottom and top.
Bust — ♦♦♦ / Half-and-half: The fewer people you show up with, the better chances you have of not getting kicked out. The security guards here are from the surrounding luxury apartment buildings, and take their jobs way too seriously. They won’t hesitate to go on a pseudo-power trip if they happen to catch you skating. Just ignore them if they try to threaten you (they usually insist that they have the power to arrest you, when in fact, they can only call the cops, but yeah, it’s Hoboken, so they will show up.)
Location: Behind the Kings, Starbucks, etc. towards the water on 12th Street and Hudson Street in Hoboken, NJ. Newark Street and Frank Sinatra Drive in Hoboken, NJ. If you’re coming from Uptown or Queens, take the B, D, F, V, N, Q, R or W to 34th Street — Herald Square. If you’re coming from Downtown or Brooklyn, take the A, C, E, 2, or 3 to World Trade Center. Transfer onto a Hoboken PATH train, and take it to the last stop in New Jersey (ten minute ride from the city.) When you exit the PATH Station, you will be on Hudson Place. Skate west for one block until you reach Hudson Street. Make a right on Hudson Street and skate north for twelve blocks until you reach 12th Street. Make a right at the Starbucks on 12th Street, and a left once you wrap the quick corner and the park is right there.
