Spots: Downtown Manhattan — Financial District
Update — September 5, 2011: They replaced the clunky ground here with even more clunky ground.

Update — May 23, 2011: The plaza in front of the building is currently under construction. They don’t seem to be touching the benches, although it looks like they may fix the ground, which is a good thing.

Spot: The plaza of this building contains an assortment of benches in which the final four feet of each side angles off about forty-five degrees over a planter grate. You typically cannot skate the parts of the benches going straight because you’ll run into the angle. The grindable parts are somewhat round, although you could still grind them if you lock in properly. The benches themselves vary in how much space you have because some of thems are positioned closer to the curb, requiring an ollie up in order to gather speed. The other way to skate these benches is as a manual pad, where you have to make two turns before reaching the end. The top surface is completely marble and remarkably smooth, so you may occasionally slip out if you do not get on top properly.
Bust — ♦♦♦♦ / Very Likely: Stay away from the northern portion of the spot, because that is where the security window is. Even when doing that, it’s still likely that security could catch sight you because the entire spot is outside of one giant glass window. Nighttime is the best way to camoflauge yourself from security, but is not a gaurantee against getting kicked out by any means.
Location: Front Street and Maiden Lane at the big glass building. Take the 2 or 3 to Wall Street. Skate south on Wall Street past Water Street, and make a left on Front Street and skate north for several blocks until you hit Pine Street. The spot is between Pine and Maiden Lane.
