Little People Gap

Spots: Downtown Manhattan — Chinatown, East Village & L.E.S.

Spot: The only thing you’ll find here is the gap for which the spot has been named after, in honor of the artwork set as its background. The gap is off a three-foot wide, half of a block long, and six-foot high platform, from which you ollie off and try to make it onto another wooden platform eight feet away, which extends about ten feet itself after you land. The runway is both smooth is ample in length, with the landing being composed of smaller pieces of wood which will occasionally break through if you’re fat. Or if you just emphasize too much of your weight on the front or back truck.

Bust — ♦ / Rare: You won’t get kicked out, but occasionally, even during the day, the gate may be locked. It’s part of a school, so it’s not recommended that you go here during the day or early afternoon on weekdays considering there are going to be kids all over the place. The gate is definitely locked at night, but its pointless to come here at that time, considering there is absolutely no light.

Location: Avenue A / Essex Street and Houston Street (going south, Avenue A turns into Essex Street once it crosses Houston) in the Lower East Side. Take the F or V to Second Avenue and skate east on Houston Street for two blocks.
