Carroll Manual Pad

Spots: Brooklyn — Downtown & Fort Greene

Spot: The Carroll Pad is a two-stair marble Philly step on the side of a school. It is about eight-feet-long, four-feet-wide, and a foot high. It is waxed well enough to skate as a ledge, but has a minor crack halfway through. It sits on a sidewalk without any significant defects in terms of cracks or rough patches.

Bust — ♦♦ / Occasional: Simply come here when school is not in session, and you should not get kicked out.

Location: Union and Hoyt Street in Carroll Gardens / Boerum Hill. Take the F or G to Carroll Street. When you exit the station, skate east on Carroll Street for one block. Make a left on Hoyt Street and skate north for three blocks until you hit Union Street. The spot is on the corner.
