Metropolitan Avenue Rails

Spots: Brooklyn — Bushwick, Greenpoint & Williamsburg

Update – July 31, 2010: This spot has been knobbed. There is nothing here to skate anymore and the knobs are welded into the metal, so there is no chance to hack them off.

Spot: Alongside a mellow hill, sit these square, metal rails up against a wall. Although the street itself slopes, the rails are level alongside it, and do not slope down. They range from being two-feet in height to about three feet. The edges are perfectly square, so it’s more like you’re skating a metal ledge than an actual rail.

Bust — ♦ / Rare: You should not get kicked out of here.

Location: Metropolitan Avenue and Driggs Avenue in Williamsburg. Take the L train to Bedford Avenue and skate south on Driggs for four blocks until you hit Metropolitan Avenue.
