Stop By For the Lenox Brunch Special

September 30th, 2010 | 7:10 pm | Footage | 2 Comments

The Lenox Brunch Special is a half-eatern piece of carrot cake, sautéed with a can of Pepsi, served alongside a chilled, exquisite “smooth & fruity” Sauvignon blanc wine, “Sweet Bitch.”

Here’s a clip of some footage from an uptown session filmed this past weekend. All the usuals are up there, Lenox, Garvey, Columbia, etc. Includes a cameo from the one and only Lenox the Menace, and a brief shout from the Ruff Ryders circa 2010. The one thing to be said about this clip, even in the context of this website, is that there is a lot of shit on the lens in some of the shots. Usually, we actually do wipe lenses, but on this particular occasion, it didn’t really come to anyone’s attention until after the fact, but what else is new. Hopefully the Biggavelli soundtrack makes up for it.

Features Tyler Tufty, Connor Champion, and Andre Paige. I think everyone else woke up at 5 P.M. on this day.

Got a YouTube uploading for the time being as well. YouTube here. No direct download, sorry.

Everyone can stop holding their breath for it. It’s finally here. Still no answer to the potential spring / summer collection bias though.

Great forecast, right?

Usually, this time of year coincides with an onslaught of clips filmed by varying ensembles of derelicts flying out here for July and August, so they could consume beer, rekindle last summer’s flames from lonely Greenpoint café waitresses working on getting buyers for their jewelry lines, and film a few lines and single tricks at the newest abomination of what we consider to be a popular skate spot. Well, you can stop the searching, because this is far and away the funnest and most well done “Summer in New York” clip that you’ll see.

Rob Harris threw this thing together for DQM, but it almost has the vibe of a GD end of summer clip, just without Yaje since he’s busy drinking espressos on private jets with Costa Rican strippers while occasionally taking time out of his schedule to film earth-shattering maneuvers on the city streets. (Does Kyle still skate or did he bow out on his magical video part and stop taking acupuncture treatments?) A wonderful way to pass by the next day while waiting for the weather to clear up.

That spot at 2:20 seems like the worst spot on the face of the earth. How that dude did a backside 180 5-0 on it is incredible.

Features Brian Delatorre, Pat Cook, Curtis Rapp, Dan Forkin, Ben Bartele, and Carter Donnell. Rob Harris for DQM.
