A Cause For Celebration..

Normally, I wouldn’t do a single post linking to a video released over ten years ago, hosted off a third party video sharing site, but we’ll have to make an exception. (You’ll also have to pardon me if I’m late on this, but prior to me stumbling upon this tonight, this video only existed in cut up, part-by-part sections on YouTube as far as the internet goes). Basically, the third greatest skateboard video ever released is now on Google video, in it’s entirety. While a select few videos have managed to make their way to restored editions on DVD, it’s pretty safe to say that the vast majority of early-to-mid 90s skateboarding will never see it’s way to DVD, BluRay, HDDVD, or whatever stupid format they came out with this week, and will only live on through limited, worn-out VHS dubs and the occasional .mpg file on the internet if we happen to be so fortunate. Plus, I’m pretty sure the companies behind these videos have shifted their focus to getting more of their products into Pac Suns throughout every mall in the country to ever show interest in restoring some classic videos to DVD. In this instance, we just so happen to be fortunate enough that it finally made it’s way to the internet in an unobstructed format (meaning, it’s a one stream video). Sit back, crack open a beer, a Pepsi, or whatever else you may drink, spark whatever drugs you smoke, and enjoy the third best video ever made..

A Few PSAs

If you’re in Westchester, there’s a skatejam / art show / Listen video premiere at the new 2nd Nature location tomorrow. Click the link for the flyer.

Rest in Peace, Supreme Ledge. That was certainly short-lived.

My Crackspot is Final Cut Pro on a Laptop

aug62007-1.jpg

Here’s to illustrate the fact that it is only truly worth skating at night, unless of course you want to sit at the TF, the Supreme Ledge or some other downtown cesspool of [un]productivity, because we all know that this is the grim reality of New York skateboarding before 9PM. Four and a half minutes long, featuring all your favorite bums on wheels.

P.S. Switch Mike got fat
